A good stop can make a journey easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable.
Campsites & Stops is where we share campsites, motorhome stopovers, ferry stops, useful parking places, lunch stops and overnight places that worked well for us.
Some will be about comfort. Some will be about location. Some will be about convenience. Others may simply be practical places that made a journey flow better.
This section will mostly focus on motorhome travel, but it may also include useful stops from car trips, ferry journeys and longer routes.
With the Motorhome we don’t wild camp and will almost always pay for a site pitch. We understand that staying on sites is not for everybody. We also understand that a lot of people us a Certified Location (CL). Our issue with a CL is the lack of toilet facilities. Yes we can go in the Motorhome, but for us only to a certain degree.
We dont use aires or park ups quite simply because we dont see the point in having a motorhome thats insured for £100,000 then sitting in it, not being allowed to even put chairs out.
But that’s our opinion. If its suits your lifestyle that’s fine, it just doesn’t suit ours.
